Today is the first day of summer in the Northern Hemisphere, places like the United States, Europe, etc and the first day of winter in the Southern Hemisphere, places like Australia. It is also International Yoga Day or as some call it World Yoga Day. The Yoggies, people who love yoga, are super upset with Google for not having a yoga designed logo today. Google could have pulled it off, incorporate yoga and summer into the same Doodle. I mean Bing did it with their home page design.
In any event, Google’s summer solstice Doodle for 2018 is an animated frog pond look. Here is the GIF:
It is also the first day of winter, the winter solstice and here Google has a frozen pond with something coming out of it:
But Bing has a really breath taking yoga and summer theme on their home page today:
We have a basic summer theme as well:
If you are upset with Google over no yoga theme, you are not alone, there are many threads in the Google forums with complaints.
