Sergey Alakov spotted Google adding a new tab to the local panel specifically for Photos. Well, it seems to just be showing on mobile for Android devices, not on iOS devices. If you search on Android, you will get the photos tab, if you search using an iPhone, you won’t.
Here is a screen shot of this on Android, notice the tab for photos:
Here is the same result on an iPhone, notice the photos tab is not there:
Maybe Google is going to be rolling this out more widely soon but for now, it seems to be just live for Android users.
