4 of Tesla’s plants are already in operation. As well as the original Fremont Factory in California, there are active production lines at the Gigafactory Nevada, Gigafactory New York and Gigafactory Shanghai.

As of March 2021, the remaining 2 facilities (Gigafactory Berlin and Gigafactory Texas) are under construction.

Tesla sales in China

The Tesla Model 3 was the most sold plug-in vehicle in China in 2020. A total of 139,925 Model 3s were sold throughout the year, 17.33% more than the nearest competing model (the Wuling HongGuang Mini EV).
