Last November, Google started showing live wait times at some venues and locations. But that may have slowly gone away. Nicholas McDonough posted on Twitter that Google has removed them.
I’ve been trying to trigger a live wait time to show up since that tweet but I have had no luck.
The interesting thing is that the Google help docs still says there is such a thing as live wait times. It reads “Live visit data: Shows how active your location is right now. Live visit data is updated in real time and overlaid on the popular times graph. For example, in the image below, the highlighted section of the graph represents how active the location is right now compared to its usual level of activity.”
Do you still see it? If not, I wonder if it was removed due to the new privacy regulations coming soon related to GDPR and the Facebook mess?
