Google Search Console Performance Report Gets Search Appearance Filters

Google announced on Twitter that the new version of the Google Search Console has added a filter and comparison toggle in the Search Performance report (similar to the old Search Analytics report) for “search appearance.” This is a filter the old report had already but is now also available in the new version of the Google Search Console.

As I reported at Search Engine Land, this lets you both filter out the analytics data to show you Rich results, AMP non-rich results, AMP article, job listings, or job details specific data. It also lets you compare any of these data points to each other.

Here is a GIF of it in action:

Google also added these two additional features to the new Google Search Console:

  • Export option now available on validation details page
  • Exported compare columns now have labels
