Here is a recap of what happened in the search forums today, through the eyes of the Search Engine Roundtable and other search forums on the web.
Search Engine Roundtable Stories:
- New Google Search Console Finally Gets Link Report
Google has announced that the new beta Google Search Console is now getting the link report. I do not see it rolled out yet but it should be live soon, Google says. - Google: We Do Not Favor Fresh Content
Google’s John Mueller said that Google does not favor fresh content over I guess stale content. Although earlier this week, Google’s John Mueller said they do crawl fresh content pages more often, but crawling and ranking are separate. - Google: Indexing API Not Coming Anytime Soon

Google is showing yet another product/shopping related feature in the local panel. This one says “browse some featured items sold here” and has a link to explore those products in search. - Google: Sharing Same Image On Multiple Pages Is Okay
