The remove URL tool report in Google Search Console “might not be available for a short time” according to Google’s data anomalies page. This is because Google is making “some improvements” to the report.
There is no ETA for when the report will be working as expected, but I suspect good things will come to those who wait on this.
When I went to this report, as I noted at Search Engine Land, it has this alert and notice at the top:
It read:
Search Console is currently experiencing data issues that may affect the data in this report for your property. These issues can result in missing or inaccurate data. Please visit the Data Anomalies help page to see if their is any additional information about this issue.
Now I am not seeing that notice but maybe it is a caching issue? I still see the issue listed as “ongoing” on the Data Anomalies help page.
Update, and now the notice is back there – so it must be a caching issue.
In any event, if you remove a lot of URLs, then keep this notice in mind.
