• Google Search Console Change Of Address Tool Not Working
  I am hearing reports of the change of address tool in Google Search Console is not working. I personally did not try it, it is one of those things that you don’t want to play around with, but Tom Brodbeck shared a screen shot of it not working.
• Google’s John Mueller: Learning About Information Retrieval Will Be Useful
  Google’s John Mueller said on Twitter that “learning how information retrieval algorithms work will be useful, even if it’s not used 1:1 in the same way.” This comes after he said that focusing on tf-idf algorithms and the metrics there may be short-sighted and not a good use of your time.
• Meet Gary Illyes From Google In Hyde Park In Sydney & Get Free Pizza
  Gary Illyes said he will be in Hyde Park, Sydney this Wednesday and at 5pm at Buckley’s Sydney he is planning on doing an informal meet up with SEOs and folks who are interested. Aleyda Solis will be there, a respected international SEO. Plus, maybe even better, Gary said he will buy the pizza.

  Today on Google’s home page in the US is a Doodle, a special Google logo, for teacher appreciation week. Teacher Appreciation Week is a national holiday celebrated in United States which takes place in the first full week of May, which in this case is Monday May 6, 2019 through Friday, May 10, 2019.
