April 2018 Google changed the mobile search results page from having the option to go to the next page of results and instead show a “more results” button. Well, now Google is testing this same user experience on desktop search.
Over the weekend, numerous people have noticed Google testing this out. Here is a screen shot from @tehseowner:

Google testing infinite scrolling on desktop.
Feels really weird not knowing what page I’m on. Not a bad experience, but pages feel more intuitive on desktop.
