This week in search was a short week before of Memorial Day and me being offline for two days for a holiday. But we covered how Google’s link post warning was just that, a reminder and warning. Our poll said that many webmasters were indeed hit by the Google Fred update. Google said they have no plans for a public sandbox for the mobile-first index. Google stopped supporting showing DMOZ descriptions in the search results. Google said they do share data between algorithms. Google said it is hard to tell if a page is really fast vs slow. Google’s fetch and render is better than using a cache view. Google updated their search quality raters guidelines manual. Google released an ad experience report for publishers to know when their ads won’t be displayed. Google AdWords announced maximize conversions smart bidding. Google has a new shopping feed specification requirement. That was this past week in search at the Search Engine Roundtable.
