• Google Really Really Uses The URL Parameter Tool Settings
  The other day we reported how Google is looking for ways to move the URL parameter tool from the old Google Search Console to the new version. Well, he said it again in this mornings IRL video hangout. In fact, he said it is really used a lot and Google’s indexing team takes it very seriously – it is not one of those fake settings that do nothing (like rel nex/prev).
• Yep, Google News Officially Launches New Desktop Results Design
  We saw Google testing it the other day (like two nights ago) and yesterday afternoon Google confirmed it for me on Search Engine Land and also on Twitter. Google launched a new card-layout design for Google News search results on desktop. It also includes these people also search for boxes as well.
• Google Launching #AskGoogleWebmasters YouTube Video Series
  We knew this was coming, and now Google said it is going to launch soon, the #AskGoogleWebmasters video series by John Mueller of Google. A couple of months ago, John Mueller asked SEOs to submit questions to him using the #AskGoogleWebmasters hashtag on Twitter and since then he has been producing videos with answers to those questions.
• Google Honors Groundbreaking Heart Surgeon René Favaloro
  The Google doodle today is to honor the life and contributions of René Favaloro, an Argentine cardiac surgeon best known for his pioneering work on coronary artery bypass surgery. The Doodle has an illustration of himself and a heart.
• Google Popcorn Machine – Yum
  Joe Laratro posted a photo on Instagram of a Google popcorn machine. It seems like his company, Tandem Interactive, won a competition as a Google Partner. One of the things they won may have been th
